Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced or has suggestions on how I can fix
a production problem that i'm having.

I'm using Jrun3.0sp2, IPlanet 4.1sp(8 or 9 i think) and jdk 1.2.0.6 on
hp-unix. This jrun connects to a weblogic 5.1 app server (on a seperate
machine).

The problem i'm having is that when jrun starts and I start using the
application, jrun cpu usage increases to 90%+ and stays there. It never
decreases and just hangs. Jrun does not respond when i try to stop the jrun
server via the usual jrun -stop. For a stack trace, kill -3 (or quit)
<process id> has no response either! I have to use kill -9.

I cannot see any other messages in the log files that i have.

I have also tried jdk 1.2.0.8 - this does not result in jrun hanging (here i
can see jrun cpu increasing and decreasing as I would expect) but after a
few minutes of use, jrun stops by itself!!

We have used the same jrun/iplanet versions on another machine and it does
work! unfornately being production and has been tested already using these
use these software versions, we can't upgrade to higher versions of the jdk
(eg 1.3).

This production machine, previously had iplanet 4.0 and jrun 2.3.3 which
worked without problems.

Could iplanet be the problem here, or does it sounds like a jrun problem??

If anyone has any ideas, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Stan
