I have 25 users using putty for the same activity.  The issue may be just the 
internet. 

I have on isp that kill all sockets at the top of every hour.  I think they 
have a bed router. It looks like they reset it with a cronjob.  

I've also found a slow ping will help keep the tunnel open.  Is your tunnel 
idle for long periods?

I need to get some sensible log for the SSH session. I use it
for a tunnel and it randomly losses connection. I have to monitor the session
to restart but I do not have any log to investigate the cause of the issue.
