I just spent four hours trying to track down a public key authentication failure.
The patch I submitted earlier today to explain the cause of "auth cancel" errors is actually misleading: my publickey authentication failed, so JSch silently ignored it and went on to password authentication; THAT failed because I didn't specify a password, which caused an exception. I would have thought (wished?) that if I had specified a keyfile and an identity which failed to authenticate that JSch would do something to help me figure out what had happened to me. Is it safe to just throw an exception in UserAuthPublicKey? That would have helped me much more than the JSchAuthCancelException I actually got. -Dan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ JSch-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jsch-users
