If bar is really created, I don't have any clue for that problem.
How about the following,

+%d-%m-%G`.log statistics=none. > /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; echo 'bar' >
/tmp/bar ; echo 'goo'
Will 'goo' be read from its output-stream?
