If you generate RSA (or other flavor) of encryption keys & install the
public key on the destination server you won't need to enter a password.
Here is one of several URLs with instructions for key
generation/installation -
http://www-glast.slac.stanford.edu/software/CodeHowTo/generate_the_ssh.h
tm.

One note, you have to be logged-in/connected as the user that will be
executing the transfer job when generating the keys and install the
public key under the user id used to connect to the remote box - if they
are different, I suggest you take your time and write down the steps
associated with each ID, it's all too easy to use the wrong ID in the
wrong place/step and then nothing will work (we're migrating several FTP
jobs to SFTP with multiple business areas and it's a logistical
challenge for sure).

You can ssh from A to B or C and then run scp between them. Hope
that helps.

        Thanks.

                Hi,
I would like to do a simple copy of a binary file.
Problem is I am running the program on computer A and I need to copy
file from computer B to computer C. I don't want to copy file first as
Computer B to computer A and then from computer A to computer C

Is there a way to do this direct copy?

Thanks for any tips and suggestions
