We've made some SFTP performance tests with both JSCH 1.44 and 1.45RC5 on
10MB file transfer (upload and download)
On a local network, results are:
Upload : Around 16MB/s
Download: Around 3MB/s
How to explain such difference? We've tried to modify
LOCAL_MAXIMUM_PACKET_SIZE in 1.45RC5 but it does not improve download
performance.
We've also tried with two different SSH servers (with different remote
window size: 16KB and 160KB) but results are the same.
Any hints would be welcome.
