NPE in TextConfigurionRealm if configuration string contains blank lines

In TextConfigurationRealm, if user definisions or role definitions string
contains blank lines, NPE is thrown. It can happen when configuratoin string is
defined in XML, eg:
<property name="userDefinitions">
<value>
empl1 = pass1, EMPLOYEE
</value>
</property>
Here you will get configurationString with three lines: first and third will be
empty lines, and NPE will be raised.
