Just curious - was anyone able to get anywhere with the Confluence export
mechanism?
I'm looking at ActiveMQ's confluence pages and like the way they've been
able to create a site from it. I'm assuming they're using the
template/export mechanism?
We do use the export mechanism at Directory, but it's completely
automatic. As soon as you modify a page on confluence, it is
automatically stored on the disk and propagated to all the mirrors a few
hours after.
If we don't have this set up yet, I forgot where I can read up on how to do
it. Could someone please point me to the documentation on how to do this?
You can post a mail to Pierre-Arnaud Marcelot ([email protected])
asking him about the setting, as he knows how it works. What I have to
say is that it's very convenient.
We also have added a small light gray image on the top right of each
page, which redirect you to confluence editor for this page, if of
course you are allowed to modify the page. You can see that on the first
page for instance : http://directory.apache.org/ (the image is very
light gray, almost white. It is just under the 'Studio' item on the
horizontal menu).
It saves us a hell of time as we don't have to export the pages when we
have modified the site, it's all automatic. A kind of magic :)
