Thanks everyone for the incredible feedback, this is way greater than I had ever hoped for! I'm sorry I haven't the time right now to respond to each of you individually, but I have been working on some of the changes that have been proposed and am just trying to track down a little bug before I push a bunch of them back to the github repo.
Regarding why I do not call async after every iteration in reduce, it is because it would make the overall time from first call to callback increase greatly. Too much time waiting for the timeouts. I have also made the timeout delay and batch time length configurable. Thank you all so much again!
