Yeah Kangax's fork worked brilliantly, I'm just going through it now.

I added into conditional 'else if (supportsFilters) {' the following code
from Thomas Fuch's original fork which should sort out other weird hasLayout
bugs...

if(!el.currentStyle.hasLayout) {
es.zoom = 1;
}
