Groups like this can help too with specific questions.  You say you
"made a API call with my own callback but it didn't work that way."
Feel free to post a simple test case to show how things didn't meet
your expectations.  Often just the process of developing a simple case
is enough to show you what went wrong.  But if it's not, there are
plenty of people here willing to help.
