Stop annoying your visitors, let them see the page as it loads. Optimise your HTML and CSS so the page loads quickly and cleanly. The vey first browsers used to wait until the page loaded before showing anything. Then Netscape started showing pages as they loaded. Users voted with their fingers, they liked seeing pages as the loaded, they hated having to wait. Making them wait even longer by fading in the page is even more annoying, it might look really cool to you, but after the second or third page, it get's very tiresome for users. -- Rob -- To view archived discussions from the original JSMentors Mailman list: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To search via a non-Google archive, visit here: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected]
