Hi Ben,
You can install the surface manually from the options->control surfaces
dialog box. If on Windows 7 you absolutely must ensure that your UAC is
completely switched off.

I tried already to reinstall the registry key for sonar 8 (I use 8.3), i
tried to fix it by reinstalling jsonar itself.
No luck until yet.
Is there something else I could try? I still have another system where I can
work without problem when i absolutely must. But it would be nice for me to
do it on the faster machine again ...

Due to various circumstances, I was not able to participate i nthe
JSonar project as much as I would have liked to.
At this stage, however, I am wondering what, in your opinion, the most
screaming issues in the latest snapshot of JSonar are. It would be great
for us to release an official version of JSonar8. About time?<smile>
