Hi. You can run JAWS out of the better quality sound card, but you need:
1. Have JAWS run out of the soundcard that came with the computer. I.E. the built in one or a lower quality 16 bit SB or something like that. 2. Route all audio that you are using in Sonar through your audiofile (or better quality sound card). You will for sure need to have the use of both cards at the same time. We have found our dual soundcard setup quite useful for more than just Sonar work. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of matthew shifrin Sent: Saturday, September 04, 2010 7:06 PM To: JSonar -- JAWS Scripts for Sonar discussion list Subject: Re: [Jsonar] some questions Thanks Mark, I'm getting an M-audio audiophile 2496 which is gonna be perfect for what I'm doing with audio, but do I need 2 soundcards? or would it be able to run JFW and sonar at once. It's 2 chanel if that means anything. I hope it'l be able to run both.
