SFZ handles Sound Fonts fine. However, I have known Sound Fonts to crash Sonar under one condition. Namely, if you are using SonarX64 on a 64 bit platform such as Windows 7 Professional. Work arounds. Use the 32 bit version of Sonar on Windows 7 64 bit or, convert the Soundfont to the SFZ format with the free SFZ editor.

My question is whether sonar 8.5 can read sf2 soundfont files. I understand that it includdes an sfz player but don't know whether the sf2 files need to be converted before they can be read by sonar. Thanks. Chris _______________________________________________ Find JSonar and Sonar FAQs, articles, guides and downloads at jsonar.org.
