I did. I find it lots easier to create simple instrument tracks and have them routed automatically through the audio track rather than having to choose what type of midi track to create, what type of audio track/audio pair to create and how the system needs to handle/route the midi. Works good for advanced users and maybe I will get there one day, but for now, it works just fine.
