When I first started using JSonar and some of the HSC sets a few months ago
on my Windows 7 64-bit PC, the HSC sets were acting a bit flakey.

Several folks on this list suggested that I switch to the Windows Classic
Theme in the Control Panel / Personalization dialog. I was using the
Windows 7 Theme by default.

This fixed the issues with the HSC sets.

Now I am noticing with JAWS 12 that, often, when I lock the screen with
WindowsKey+L, JAWS will not read the login screen. Actually, when I first
reboot, if I lock the screen within 15 to 20 minutes, JAWS will read the
logon screen. However, after using the computer for a bit, if I lock the
screen, JAWS will not read it. Maybe this is something wrong with JAWS
deteriorating? I don't know.

the last time this happened and I couldn't read the screen when it was
locked, I was using the Windows Classic theme. I unlocked the screen and
changed to the Windows 7 theme. then, amazingly, when I locked the screen
again JAWS was able to read the logon screen.

Has anyone else noticed similar behavior? Does everyone using HSC sets use
the Windows Classic theme on their Windows 7 computers or are some folks
able to use the Windows 7 Theme successfully with the HSC sets? I presume
that the HSC sets were optimized for one theme or another?

Thanks.
