I have my roland RD300GX hooked up to sonar.
I can record midi and play it back fine, but there is one thing that is puzzling me. When I am on a midi track in sonar and try to modify the reverb or chorus when playing back the midi track, the reverb or chorus is not changed. I assume that my roland keyboard is somehow not listening to the FX changes from sonar (since I don't think these FX are being done on my PC). I read through the roland documentation but can't quite figure out what setting on the roland might fix this. Also, when I'm using the automation from within Sonar, I can't match up any of my sliders, etc. to do the automation using the usual Sonar methods or Sonar wizard which is supposed to link my sliders and switches to the automation. Fortunately my pitch bend wheel can do automation. But somehow I think that the keyboard is not responding to all messages from Sonar. maybe it is not supposed to? Thanks for any hints. --Pete
