Hi Christian,

I don't know much about Sonar yet, but generally too much bass on a mic can be caused by having the mic too close to the sound source. this is especially true for dynamic mics that don't use phantom power. Like a Sure sm57. you get too close and the bass really booms.

I would start by setting all the knobs on your mixer in the notch and moving the mic farther away 'til it sounds good. Then make sure you have a good level on it. That's how I start with mics anyway.

Hope this helps,

Richard

Subject: [Jsonar] How do you do this

Hi all,
What is the most convenient way to do the following.
I get too much base on my microphone input and I would like to change it. Is it the best way to use the track inspector and use the EQ or how would you do this?
Many thanks,
Christian
