Hi,
But how is the 64 bit version when it comes to performance compared with the 32
bit version?
Ok, so you mean I run the normal sonar 8.5 installer then?
Many thanks,
Christian

Sonar 8.53 has both a 32 bit and 64 bit installer. You can actually install
both side by side as far as I know.
I use the 64-bit version with Windows 7. The only issue I've seen is that, in
order to use most of the HSC sets, you must use the Windows Classic theme. In
my Windows 7 64-bit system, the Windows 7 Basic theme was the default and did
not work very well with the HSC sets.
With that caveat, you should be okay.
also, make sure whatever audio device you're using has drivers that are
compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.

Subject: [Jsonar] Windows 7 64 bit vs 32 bit
Hi all,
I know that this is a little off topic, but I know that some of you on this
list are using Windows 7 64 bit, and I have a few questions.
Is it really worth upgrading from 32 bit do you notice any speed differences?
Do you also need to purchase some 64 bit version of Sonar or does the 8.5
support 64 bit as well?
I have heared people switching back to 32 bit version of Windows due to
compability issues.
Any comments on this?
Many thanks,
Christian
