I've got it! It's actually pretty simple to record your computer's
output through the saffire pro 24. All you do is go to the saffire
mix control, use the jaws curcer to click on the mix you want to use
(i just clicked on mixx one). This will then highlight the mix.
Then, you use the control shift a keyboard shortcut to open the
"choose the output for this mix" dialogue. Depending on what channel
you want to choose, be it a mono channel or a stereo channel you will
select A (for only capturing one channel) or b (for recording stereo
audio output). You then select loop 1 in the subsequent submenue that
popps up. Then, in sonar, you have to create a new master bus with
its output routed to saffire pro 24 mon 1 (for monitor 1). Then you
need to creat an audio track with its input being saffire pro 24 loop
1. And their you have it! High quality audio recordings from your
computer's output, be it skype, a media player or a live mix that you
just had to capture!

A quicker way to do it in Sonar is just to open the default template
and changing the respective bus and track inputs and outputs. Note
that muting the metrinome is necisary or else it will record the
metrinome as well!
