Dan,
First of all, I apologize for not being able to keep up with all the mail
that is posted on this list. After my posting, I did, and continue to, respond
to every message that has been sent to me directly. Most of the comments I
received were positive. Some were concerned that we were coming out late.
What I can assure you is that we are working with everything we've got to
get this specification ready for public commment. That is when you, the
developer community, will be able to review and give us your full feedback.
While we do monitor this list, we are not able to respond to every post.
Again, it is a trade off between this and getting what you really want,
the specification and reference implementation, out the door.
We do value your input and look forward to receiving your comments as soon as
we can get to you a specification that we think will help you in the work
you are doing.
