Primarily the ongoing beta, but also the installation. Once it's going it's
fine. I wish it had a test suite, though.
I was hoping to bundle JServ with our product as our servlet runner, but the
beta, installation, speed and lack of test suite is a barrier. Also we need
the servlet 2.1 API.
But I'm not in a common situation. Easy install is very important to us.
Since we're providing JavaScript JSP, we will likely have several
non-Java-expert users who find the Apache install too frustrating. Also,
because we're already doing something slow (JavaScript in Java), the overhead
of JServ is more important than it would be for most people. Third, because
we're implementing JSP, our users can use the entire servlet API. So we need
the servlet runner to have a test suite comparable to the rest of our test
suite.

[Unrelated, but not worth a separate message: Ricardo Rocha's PolyJsp is very
cool. XSL rocks. If you skipped his announcement, it's
http://www.plenix.org/polyjsp. He has a great one pager explaining the
technology. Hopefully, JSP 1.0 will be compatible with it.]
