Hi,
Is anybody on this list currently using JSP on anything other than a low
traffic Intranet? Have you guys at Sun done some load/performance
testing, and is it in the public domain?
I'm currently involved in developing a high traffic Internet portal site as
the content provision element for a free ISP, as well as developing
specialist E-commerce portals, both here in the UK. Currently it's in the
infancy of the development stage, and I guess I want to know how
performance tails off with increased concurrent connections. Obviously
this is hugely dependant on the code effort employed within any JBeans,
custom servlets, JDBC/SQL and database implementations written to deliver
the require content provision. But Sun must have done some form of
load/performance testing somewhere along the line to get to 'JavaServer
Pages 1.0 Public Release'. If all it takes is more/faster CPU's and/or RAM
then let's see how performance increases.
Any information gratefully accepted.... ;-)
