I thought of the same problem.  MyNetscape (IMHO) has done it well.  When you
log in, and minimize one of the channels and then click a 'Back' button the
channel stays minimized (no asking about reposting data or annoying 'Page
expired' messages).  To compare this to your problem with update of quantities:
after clicking to confirm changing quantity and clicking Back the quantity is
what it was changed to and not what it was before the change.

To achieve this (as someone pointed out here) you need to have refresh meta tag
set to 0.  This works both in Netscape and Explorer.

(Doesn't HTTP suck?)
