Don't know why this struck me, but a Bean seems to be

1) A class

OR

2) An object instantiated from such a class

So I guess when someone asks me "What is a Bean?" I could answer with
"It's an instance of a Bean".

I hope I'm the only one disturbed enough to be bothered by this, but has
any one else noted this? It's actually caused problems for me - I was
forced to teach a mini-course in Beans once (thanks much boss - I hadn't
so much as written a Bean at that point), and everyone was confused by
the BeanBox docs, which would tell you to select a bran from the menu
(beans=classes), and talk about event handling for your beans
(beans=objects). What a mess. Bad enough the jar tool docs wer wrong and
on one told me.

Anyhoo, to the sick few of you who also take this seriously, I use Beans
to mean objects (seems appropriate), and I call the classes Bean
classes. If this is simply incorrect, I'd love to hear about it.

Sorry to bother everyone trying to do real work,
Chris
