When you set CLASSPATH you need to set CLASSPATH to all Jar files not to the
folder name.
You are probably doing like this ..
set CLASSPATH=i:\java\lib
But you need to this ..
set CLASSPATH=i:\java\lib\classes.zip
I am sure you must be knowing .. but in case .. If you have multiple jar
(zip) files then you need to add them at the end, with a semicolon
delimiter.
set CLASSPATH=i:\java\lib\classes.zip;i:\myname\myproject\myclasses.zip

Subject: Initial Install Failure
Hello all,
Hoping that you can assist me. Following are specs of the install and the
issue I'm running into.
Java 1.2 is installed at i:\java
JSP is installed at i:\java\jsp1.0
The class path is set to i:\java\lib\
I start JSP in i:\java\jsp1.0
Everything works ok here
Using Netscape Communicator 4.5 I localhost into port 8080
The Page appears.
When I attempt to run the Pages I get I compilation error, I think ...
Let me check ....
..............
Oh, never mind!
It started working for some strange reason!
However, if someone else comes across this, please let me know what to do.
All I did was search for JAR files, and copy them to i:\java\lib.
