Firstly, I cannot find the archive for this list, I would rather go
through the archive than
repeat the same questions over, can anyone point me to one, if one
indeed exists ?
I would like expose a Database Connection Pool which we have written in
all our
JSP pages. It is not a JavaBean. In fact, there seems to be no redeeming
reason for
me to convert this class to a JavaBean, other than to be able to expose
it to my JSP
pages through the <jsp:usebean scope="application"...instruction.
It has no properties which may be of interrest to any containers, no
events which are inherent
to the success of it's functionality, etc...
It has 2 methods which are of use: getConnection() ,
freeConnection(Connection).
Can anyone tell me the minimum functionality I must implement to convert
this class to a JavaBean, in order to reap
the benefits of an application-scoped variable ?
Technically I may be posting in the wrong group for this question, I
apologize for this.
thanks,
Mark
