Did you try specifying the path like this:
<jsp:useBean id="yourBean" type="com.somedir.YourBean" scope="request" />

and putting YourBean in:
/somewhere/jrun/jsm-default/classes/com/somedir

?

Subject: CLASSPATH

Hi,

I've created a JSP page with a bean in it, the server is unable to locate
the
bean class though I include the directory containing the bean in the
CLASSPATH
environment variable.

how to set classpath for the JRun server.

Thanks,
Swamy
