As long as you stick with the 1.0 spec, you should be ok. We have been able
to take the same jsp code and port it from JRun (NT) to ServletExec (NT and
Solaris) to WebLogic 4.5 (Solaris) w/o any major issues.
The only minor issues we had was where one product was still in beta and
needed a space before the %> tag to work properly.
In terms of JDBC, we've only been using the Oracle jdbc thin drivers and
haven't had any problems when moving from platform to platform.

Subject: How Portable is JSP?
hi
we are developing a project using JSP. The requirement of the
product is that it should run on most of the OS/webserver/JSP engine
combination. I would like to know whether the JSP 1.0 code which I will
writing, will work fine without any errors on all platforms having a JSP
engine conforming to JSP 1.0. Has anyone experienced any cross platform
compatibility issues. I will be also using JDBC to connect to a Java
database.
- Thanks
