Did you make sure that the class files your using can be found by the server?
Check the CLASSPATH !

Instead of instantiating a bean you may try for testing:

        1. to import your class via page directive
        2. <%
                        NameHandler nh = new NameHandler().

If your CLASSPATH is wrong, you will see.

You may also try to start the java interpreter for the jswdk1.0 with "-v"
(didn't checked that). That may show class loading errors to you.
