Bean ID is
1. The name of the variable the pointer to the
bean is stored in so that later you can write
<jsp:useBean id="myfirstbean" class=.../>
<%= myfirstbean.mySuperDuperMethod() %>
2. It is the key under which a pointer to the bean is stored
in the scope context you gave the bean.
e.g.
If you use scope="application" the bean is stored
under the key "myfirstbean" in the ServletContext so that
other servlets or jsp-pages will get the same bean
object.
Looking at the generated java code may help.
