I don't see any problems in your code.
I pasted it in Apache 1.3.6/jserv 1.0/gnujsp 1.0cvs and
it just worked. Did replacing POST with GET change something?
I heard about problems with POST with some jsp engine. (jswdk ? can't remember.)
