All, I am trying to integrate java servlets, java server pages, and ".shtml" files with Vignette's StoryServer product. Can't find any discussion of people doing this on the web. The ".shtml" files are just ordinary html that may have <servlet></servlet> tags included. Our operating environment details are: StoryServer: Operating System: Solaris 7 Web server: Netscape Enterprise 3.63 Servlet Engine: Allaire Corporation's JRun 2.3.3 Sun jdk jdk1.2.2 servlet rel jsdk2.1 We are trying to invoke a java servlet from within Vignette, using the preview feature. The servlet is embedded in a ".shtml" file. We're getting a JRUN error, which seems like a partially good indication in that it is recognizing the ".shtml" file extension as something to be processed by JRUN. If we perform the same test outside of Vignette, by placing a file called "index.shtml" in our Netscape document root, it works fine. When we do the same thing using the Vignette's/preview feature, we get a JRUN error which says: JRun Connector Proxy Protocol Error Please contact the system administrator for this web site. Any advise from any one doing this integration would be very much appreciated.
