Hej,
see http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/index.html,
http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/docs.html
and in this special case
http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/html/jspbasics.fm2.html
(Handling HTML forms)
for more info.
The usual way is that your form submits to a page
(perhaps itself) that has the source lines
<jsp:useBean id="theBean" class="package.BeanClass" scope="session" />
<jsp:setProperty name="theBean" property="*" />
It seems uncommon to let the bean extend the Servlet class and override doPost().

Subject: form handler bean
Hello all.
I'm trying to pass the results from a form from my jsp page to a bean that
has overided the function "doPost" to get the form elements splited up in a
hashtable in that bean.
Can anyone tell me how this is done and I would appreaciate it very much.
and btw, is there any tutorials for using beans on jsp pages ?
have a nice nite(!) / Daniel
