What you are seeing is not unique to IE5 and not unique to JSP pages -- it is
normal behavior for framed sites. The displayed URL will remain the URL of the
surrounding page with a <FRAMESET> tag. If you want the displayed location to
change, don't use frames.
On the other hand, I cannot for the life of me figure out why anyone cares about
the displayed location is once you are inside a particular web application or site
-- the functionality is what is important. If your user needs the location bar
(and associated buttons) to feel comfortable navigating your site, you probably
don't have enough navigation controls in the pages themselves.
