Periodic getRemoteHost() results

The problem:       JSP call to request.getRemoteHost() periodically produces results.   This is an odd little problem that popped up, immediately after we replaced our server. I suspect a configuration problem; our system admin says the new system is configured identically to the replaced server.   The following is a fragment from our log, recorded with JSP collected data: ... 19-Jan-00 7:48:40 AM     198.4.44.137                                ... ... 19-Jan-00 7:49:31 AM     198.4.44.137    rell-137.rell.com  ... 198.4.44.137 hit us 6 times. The first 3-times request.getRemoteHost() produced no results. The last three, beginning at 07:49, began to capture a host name. Other than this example, results appear random.   Thoughts?   Phil
