I am slowly catching up with JSP- and Servlet- interest; last week our
group was busy doing some local event on JSP and Servlets that was very
well attended, and then we had to get the submissions to JavaOne ready
(deadline was yesterday!)
We are planning to get some mileage from our local event:
* We will be posting the slides from that event to our web site.
* There is an update to the vendor support for JSP and SErvlets
(focusing on 1.1 and 2.2) that we will post.
* I hope we will take a condensed version of the talks to a few Java
User Groups. If you coordinate what you think is a successful JUG and
are interested in us visiting, drop me a mail with title "JSP/Servlet
visit to JUG". No promises we can come, but we will see what we can
do. The closer you are to us (Bay Area) the easier, but we routinely
have to fly around and we can try to coordinate. Overseas is more of an
issue, unelss you can pay for our flight :-)
There has been a lot of mail motivated by Jason's posting, plus some
additional private mail. I will not follow-up on all issues but I may
send a brief summary of what I've learned from them. Thanks to all for
contributing.
