I don't think that what you are trying to do is possible.  You could use the
Expires or Chache-Control headers to prevent the browser from keeping a
chached copy but you cannot make the browser reload the content based on
events at the client because the JSP code executes on the server and has no
control of the client.

You can always mix JSP with JavaScript.  The JavaScript would go OUTSIDE of
any of your <%...%> secions.

i wonder if there is an method in in jsp which does the equal thing than
document.reload(); under javascript. which means it reloads the
document.... or better said the location currently access... so for
example for frames the all frames with footer, mainpart and header and
not only a single frame?
i'm sure there is soemthing in jsp but i can't find it....
