Dear All,
I am no expert on JSP but I do agree on the Jason Hunter's
point-of-view. However, no technique is perfect. I joinded
an e-commerce project half-way and I have been desparate
in understading the existing JSP code. After some strugling,
I created a utilitis Java class to strip off all the
comments and HTML tags in the machine-generated servlet source
file. Stated differently, I re-use the machine-generated code
instead of the raw JSP file. It is no use for us to
argue which technique is good and bash some of them ...
Though I have no interest in writing JSP, I strongly
encourage people to use JSP to write UI. The reason is
simple: it is a quick and dirty solution.
Regards, Wei Lu
