We seem to be recieving a lot of calls for information compairing jsp
support/performance with various servlet engines and server/platform
combinations. There isn't a real definative resource for this type of
information that I have been able to locate.
It might be helpful if anyone had the spare time (Yeah, I know. Spare time?
What's that?), to build a collection of resources or benchmarks compairing
different servers, platforms, and servlet engines with jsp support.
Here are a few of the resources (none very complete) that I have found for
this kind of info:
Flashline - Comparison of servers. Includes information on supported
platforms, jsp/ejb/jdk version, pricing, and links to demos, but a little
out of date last I checked (Still listed Live Software instead of Allaire
for JRun):
http://www.flashline.com/components/appservermatrix.jsp
Sun's updated list of industry support for jsp/servlet technologies (Feb.
8):
http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/industryupdate.html
Links to resources and FAQs are also available at the jsp-intrest mailing
list archive:
http://www.jsp-interest.com/
There is also a FAQ that addresses many of the issues face by beginners at
jGuru:
http://www.jguru.com/jguru/faq/faqpage.jsp?name=JSP
Hope this is of some help.
