There's a known bug with the JSP comment tags in the current version of JRun
(build 157). People rarely encounter it, but it is planned to be fixed for
a future bug fix release. For now, either don't use the comments, or work
around them. The problem is that the JSP parser has to use a ridiculous
regexp to exclude all sorts of characters and combinations inside the
comments, and it's off just enough so that that hyphen character throws it
off. The bug is exactly as you described it.
For future reference, you should contact Allaire about this sort of thing.
They have a free electronic JRun forum, an electronic install support site,
and call support. I end up answering most of these JRun types of questions
here only because I work at Allaire and I happen to be on this email list.
