Like framesets, the idea is that you name you windows/frames so you can
direct links & forms to them. After you name them (using frameset, or simply
using the name) you can reuse the window by using the same name. If you try
to use a name that the browser doesn't know, it will simply create a new
window and assign that name to it.
The way to do it is to add the target attribute to either of <A..> <FORM...>
or <BASE...> tags.
There is one point to keep in mind, it's the page where the form is that
sends to another window/frame, if you want the servlet/JSP determine in
which window it should go, you have to provide an interim page, and that can
get messy.

Subject: opening new response window
What's the trick to directing a JSP/Servlet response to a new window?
(On certain requests, we'd like our JSP/Servlet to retain the original
form-window and pop-up a small information-window (sans tool bars) for, say,
context sensitive help messages.)
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Phil
