Hmmm. If you haven't changed any of the default port settings,
port 9090 is the admin port. I believe the jsp servlet is not
enabled for the admin port.
Try accessing the same page using the default port 8080
(once again - I assume you haven't changed any of the default port
settings):
http://machine-name:8080/examples/jsp/samples/counter/counter.jsp
