We are researching servlet/JSP technology.
One of our web publishers has been playing with WebSphere Studio.
By default it is setup to use the WebSphere app server. But it
can publish standard JSP 1.0 for any JSP 1.0 compliant server.
We have been publishing JSP using WebSphere studio while running
the ServletExec app server. If you are running the demo version,
some selections/setup items are not enabled. We purchased WebSphere
Studio and have had no problems publishing JSP to other servlet engines.
We have also looked at DrumBeat 2000 and HomeSite. WebSphere Studio
by far has the best support for web publishing using JSP. (IMHO)
Our web publishers really like Web Sphere Studio, I hope IBM gets
support for JSP 1.1 into WebSphere Studio soon, I am itching to
write some tag libraries.
I can't answer any more specific questions since I use vi instead
of a gui tool like WebSphere Studio. ;-)
