We are currently evaluating iPlanet Web Server 4.1 for it's JSP and Servlet support. This iPlanet web site proudly boasts Servlet 2.2 and JSP 1.1 support, so I was hopeful. However, I am finding it difficult to configure the server to host Servlet 2.2 style web applications - with the standard WEB-INF directory structure and web.xml config file. First off, the HTML based admin app for iPlanet has zero knowledge of web apps or servlet contexts. The amount of available information is small and spread very thinly, but it appears as if this *could* be done in the contexts.properties file. I have experimented quite a bit but it doesn't appear to be happening. If someone out there can provide any info, or even better, provide a snips from there contexts.properties, servlets.properties and rules.properties files where they have setup a working web application, I would be most appreciative.
