I know that this is a platform specific issue, but I will reply anyway.

MRJ 2.2 = Apple's Java VM and SDK.
The current version of the MRJ is based on Java 1.2.2 and at Macworld 2000 in
January Apple announced that this summer OS X will be shipping with a fully Java 2
compliant version of the MRJ but there are currently no plans to release a Java 2
based MRJ for neither MAC OS 8 nor OS 9.
Mac OS X Server is currently shipping with Apache and I have heard of people
successfully compiling servlet/jps engines for it, but I have not had the time to
mess with it myself so I just told the boss we had to buy an intel machine. :)
http://www.outlawcafe.org/MRJ-FAQ here is a good place to start for more
information. Also, you can search archives at Apple's developer connection.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
