Much agreed. I can vouch for Orion. I have both Orion and Resin 1.1 set up
running the same app. Orion is beating Resin by about 25% in most tests.
Being that they are the same price, other than the fact that Resin is
open-source and Orion isn't (yet...come on boys..make it open source. :),
Orion has a LOT more to offer than Resin does too. Orion does full EJB, and
has a number of other features that make it much more attractive.

On the other hand, Orion is quite a bit harder to set up than Resin. I say
that in the strictest since because Orion used to be very easy, and once I
"learned" (and actually read) a few things, it too was easy to figure out.
Resin has a single easy to understand config file. Orion uses a few files to
get things rolling. Both are XML files..so they are still pretty easy to
work with.

Bang for buck and performance, Orion wins hands down. Ease of installation
and getting to run, Resin wins. I have started to test Orion against
IIS/JRUN, Resin, and soon WebLogic, WebSphere and a few others. From what I
have seen, Orion is top dog in performance thus far.

And no..I am not being paid by the Orion team or getting perks..I have
tried..but still no free Orion yet. ;) Anyways.
