I would advise you to run Resin 1.1 (www.caucho.com) or tomcat 3.1
(jakarta.apache.org). They seem to be stable enough for commercial use, they
can attach seamlessly (almost) to IIS and PWS (I had some problems with
virtual roots under IIS).
