The WROX book blows the second one away and competes pretty well with
the first one. However, WROX need to start reducing the weight of
their books and consequently their prices.

There are two books on JavaServer Pages that I know of:

Web Development with JavaServer Pages by Fields
and
  JavaServer Pages by Pekowsky

I wrote a review/summary of the first for a column I write. I don't
want to attach it as I think the list discourages attachments.

I don't know about the second one yet, but one of the reviewers I
know for it said it was good.

If you are seriously doing development, I would recommend getting
both books. It will speed up your development time.
